The Database of Aquatic, Wetland and Invasive Plants
"The database includes annotated citations for more than 60,000 research articles, books and reports about plant ecology, physiology, utilization and control. Items in many languages dating back to the 18th century are in this inclusive database."

Australia - Victoria - Dept. of Natural Resources and Environment
- Ground Water Victoria - (dead link)
- Groundwater Database Reports - (dead link)
"...contains information on approximately 135,000 boreholes throughout Victoria. It stores information primarily of interest to groundwater management and investigations, but is a useful resource for all environmental studies where groundwater or catchment condition is a focus."
- Groundwater Database Reports - (dead link)
California Dams Database - (dead link)
"...contains information on 1395 California dams. This data was taken from a 1993 publication of the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) called 'Dams within the Jurisdiction of the State of California', DWR Bulletin 17."
- University of California, Berkeley - Digital Library Project
Canadian Ice Service - (dead link)"...promotes safe and efficient maritime operations and protects Canada's environment by providing reliable and timely information about ice conditions in Canadian waters."
CRiSP1 Passage Columbia River Salmon Passage Model - (dead link)
"CRiSP1 predicts downstream migration and survival of individual stocks of wild and hatchery spawned juvenile fish from the tributaries and dams of the Columbia and Snake rivers to the estuary. The model describes in detail fish movement, survival, and the effects of various river operations on these factors. It is also stochastic, incorporating measures of variability and uncertainty into survival predictions."

Database of Online Documents Covering Water and Agriculture
"This is a simple prototype database of electronic documents related to water and agriculture. Using this database you can locate several hundred electronic publications that are freely available on the Web."
Water Quality Information Center at the National Agricultural Library, Agricultural Research Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture
Database on Introductions of Aquatic Species
"The FAO database on introductions of aquatic species was initiated by R. Welcomme in the early 1980's. It considered primarily only freshwater species of fish and formed the basis for the 1988 FAO Fisheries Technical Paper no. 294. The database has been expanded to include additional taxa, such as molluscs and crustaceans, and marine species. In the mid 1990's a questionnaire was sent to national experts to gather additional information on introductions and transfers of aquatic species in their countries.
The database, which contains now about 3,150 records."
Everglades Landscape Model (ELM) - (dead link)
"The ELM is a regional scale ecological model designed to predict the landscape response to different water management scenarios in south Florida, USA. The ELM simulates changes to the hydrology, soil & water nutrients, periphyton biomass & community type, and vegetation biomass & community type in the Everglades region."

Encyclopaedia Taxonomica
Zooplankton Database
"It is a fully webbased taxonomic information system, set up for the dutch
institute CIW (commission for integrated water management). Zooplankton is available since 2001; worked out for both freshwater and marine systems, including cladocera; copepoda, rotatoria and ciliata. The database can be updated online, and new taxa will be validated by taxonomic experts."
National Drinking Water Contaminant Occurrence Database (NCOD) - (dead link)
"The purpose of the database is to support the U.S. Environmental Protection Agencies's (EPA) decisions related to identifying contaminants for regulation and subsequent regulation development. The NCOD contains occurrence data from both Public Water Systems (PWSs) and other sources (like the U.S. Geological Survey National Water Information System) on physical, chemical, microbial and radiological contaminants for both detections and non-detects."
National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC)
"...an information and referral center supporting polar and cryospheric research. We distribute snow and ice data. We also maintain information about snow cover, avalanches, glaciers, ice sheets, freshwater ice, sea ice, ground ice, permafrost, atmospheric ice, paleoglaciology, and ice cores. We also publish several periodicals and maintain a collection of monographs, technical reports, and journals."
- Global Lake and River Ice Phenology Database
"...contains freeze and breakup dates and other ice cover descriptive data for 748 lakes and rivers. Of the 429 water bodies that have records longer than 19 years, 287 are in North America and 141 are in Eurasia; 170 have records longer than 50 years; and 28 longer than 100 years. A few have data prior to 1845. These data, from water bodies distributed throughout the Northern Hemisphere, allow analysis of broad spatial patterns as well as long-term temporal patterns."
National Wetlands Biogeochemical Database - (dead link)"...is an effort to locate, collect and compile existing biogeochemical information on wetlands of the United States including Hawaii and Alaska...When complete, the NWBD will provide a reference data set that can be queried at different regional, community, or temporal scales. Using this information, a summary of existing data on mean, range, deviation and other descriptive statistics of various wetland biogeochemical parameters can be assessed.
Wetland Biogeochemistry Laboratory, University of Florida
Salton Sea Database Program (SSDP)
"...an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) funded project at the University of Redlands to develop Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and data research technologies to support the effort to save the Salton Sea from ecological collapse. The mission of the SSDP is to establish an on-line data resource clearinghouse and provide ecosystem decision support."
