Densho: The Japanese-American Legacy Project
"The Densho Project is a non-profit educational endeavor, preserving the history of Japanese Americans and bringing it into classrooms and libraries around the world...The Project digitally videotapes individuals describing their lives, and telling the stories of their parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. Preserved are descriptions on everything from their families' immigration, to the incarceration of the Japanese American community during World War II, to discussions of what it means to be 'an American.' ... Moreover, in addition to this videotape archive, the Densho Project has digitally scanned over a thousand photographic images, rare documents, and private memorabilia."
