Introduction to Rowan University

In 1923, Rowan University started as a school for teachers. The college received its university commendation in 1997, changing its name to Rowan University. The school has seven colleges in the fields of business, communication, education, engineering, fine and performing arts and liberal arts and sciences.

Rowan University has just under 10,000 students doing classwork in 36 bachelor's degree programs, seven teacher certificate programs, 26 master's degree programs and the college also offers a doctoral degree in educational leadership.
