Introduction to ITT Tech

With 100 campuses in 35 U.S. states and growing, ITT Tech has become a leader in technical training. The school established in 1946 as Educational Services, Inc., in Carmel, Indiana.

Since 1969, ITT Tech has been owned and operated by the publicly traded ITT Educational Services Inc. The goal of ITT Tech is to provide career-oriented degree programs through campus and online learning. Some ITT Tech campuses offer programs online, such as the online MBA in Indianapolis.

Student Life at ITT Tech

As a technical college, much of ITT Tech's classroom focus deals with practical study in labs. Classes are year-round, making it easier for students to complete a degree. Class times vary so that students can create a flexible schedule to fit their needs.

Online classes last for six or twelve weeks, with program instructors who post lessons, facilitate discussions and assign projects. Textbook readings and CDs arrive in the mail for students to use and follow along with classes.

Graduate programs require a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution and proof of this degree.

Can I Receive Financial Aid From ITT Tech?

All ITT Technical Institute students can submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to see if they are eligible for government funding in the form of loans, grants and work study. Private lenders are another viable option for students who do not receive federal funding. What Are Some Career Options for Graduates of ITT Tech?

There are six schools with varying degree specialties: the ITT Tech School of Information Technology, the School of Drafting and Design, the School of Electronics Technology, the School of Business, the School of Criminal Justice and the School of Health Sciences. Many of these degrees have concentrations that make it unique, such as finance and marketing options for a business administration degree. Graduate degrees include architectural design, visual communications, programming and engineering.
