Creighton University features 108 acres of historic campus in Omaha, Nebraska, just outside the downtown business district. Founded in 1878 by Mary Lucretia Creighton, the school was originally named Creighton College in memory of her husband.
One of 28 institutions with the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities, Creighton is a school with strong Catholic traditions. Part of the school's curriculum incorporates on the time-honored "ratio studiorum," which engages students in critical thinking, writing and rhetoric.
