Reiki massage is a healing technique that uses natural energy to create balance to heal a person in mind, body and spirit. It originated in Japan and was originally passed down via master and apprentice.
However, schools that teach this form of an energy healing massage are making the art more widely available. In fact, if you research online, you find a lot of free information about reiki massage programs that exist all over the world.
There are three degrees of reiki massage training:
- Reiki One- This explains the background and history of Reiki
- Reiki Two- This develops you into a Reiki practitioner
- Reiki Three- This allows you to teach other students
Reiki massage by itself doesn't have any type of governing body. This means there could be a great deal of variation in training. Also, Reiki massage may be covered as part of many conventional massage therapy programs.
