ANRO - Australian Agriculture & Natural Resources Online
A Research Information Service
"The three databases contain information about agriculture and natural resources research and complement each other with very little overlap. ARRIP contains information about current research; ABOA has abstracts on published documents with an agricultural and primary production flavour and Streamline covers Australian natural resources generally and sustainable land and water use specifically."

Barley EST Project - (dead link)

Bibliography of References Related to Seed Dormancy and/or Germination in Higher Plants
"This is a database of 12,000 items compiled by Prof. G.M. Simpson, Plant Sciences Department, College of Agriculture, University of Saskatchewan. The Seed Bibliography covers material from the world literature on seed dormancy and germination from the 1890's to the present. Whereas recent publication on seeds is becoming very accessible through electronic indexes such as Agricola, CAB Abstracts, and Seed Abstracts, the significance of Prof. Simpson's database lies particularly in its coverage of the early literature."

Biologische Bundesanstalt für Land- und Forstwirtschaft (BBA) (Federal Biological Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry) (German or English)
"...is engaged in plant pathology, entomology, plant protection and related fields. The BBA concerns itself with the effect of pesticides on humans, animals and the environment. The German Plant Protection Act defines the majority of its duties."

  • Phytomed - Database
"The online searchable database PHYTOMED includes over 452.000 literature citations, partially abstracted, from 1 500 national and international sources (specialist periodicals, monographs, dissertations, offprints, proceedings, annual reports etc.) from 1965 to 1995 inclusively."

GrainGenes
A Small Grains and Sugercane Database
"...is a compilation of molecular and phenotypic information on wheat, barley, rye, oats and sugarcane."

Gramene: A Comprehensive Mapping Resource for Grains
"...to create a curated, open-source, Web-accessible data resource for comparative genome analysis in the grasses. Data formerly in RiceGenes is now integrated in Gramene. Our goal is to facilitate the study of cross-species homology relationships using information derived from public projects involved in genomic and EST sequencing, protein structure and function analysis, genetic and physical mapping, interpretation of biochemical pathways, gene and QTL localization and descriptions of phenotypic characters and mutations."

IENICA Database - (dead link) An Interactive European Network for Industrial Crops and their Applications.
A Project funded by DGXII of the European Commission

Maize Mapping Project
"An Integrated Genetic and Physical Map for Maize, to provide the draft foundation for complete or partial sequencing of this most important US crop, is approximately half complete. The target is to define contiguous, overlapping physical pieces (contigs) of the maize genome to the greatest extent possible."
Sections include: Integrated Map ; Maps ; Bio-Informatics ; Resources ; Education/Outreach ; About ; Data Access.
Collaboration of researchers at the University of Missouri-Columbia, Clemson University, and the University of Georgia.

Maize Targeted Mutagenesis Database (MTMDB)
"...is a transposon library in maize for the purpose of targeted selection of gene knockouts. It currently contains 43,776 DNA samples from F1 insertion plants and 43,776 F2 progeny...The final database is expected to include information on over 80,000 Mu insertion mutant alleles with recessive or dominant phenotypes."
